Canteen is mil talk for Lounge, a social gathering place at most VFW's. The Canteen is a "Private" Club or Lounge for use by VFW, Auxiliary, and Friends members and guests. The Canteen is open daily from 12pm till 2am. The on-duty hostess may close early for lack of patrons.
